1938-1950

Eleven letters of Francis Boardman Crowninshield and one of his wife Louise du Pont Crowninshield to their cousins Alfred E. Bissell and Julie du Pont Bissell. Most letters are simple exchanges of family news and pleasantries, with a few jibes at Pres. Roosevelt and the New Deal. The letter of Mrs. Crowninshield thanks the Bissells for their help in her bereavement following the death of her husband.
